ITS To Represent RI In Software Competition In India

Surabaya, E Java ( Berita ) : The Surabaya-based Institute of Technology (ITS) will represent Indonesia in the world class software making competition titled “The IBM Great Mind Challenge” in India after winning another competition in software application.

“We are proud to become the champion, especially because all the finalitsts are our friends (the first, second and third winners) are from the ITS,” M Rizky, coordinator of the first champion said here on Monday.

In the prestigious competition, the Sacred Warrior (ITS) turned out as the champion, followed by the “Anak Kampoeng team” and the PENS ITS team in third place.

Rizky and his two other friends namely Nugraha Nawing and Muhammad Masbuchin made a mobile software entitled “Pamantau Lalulintas Lumpur Lapindo (P3L) or Lapindo Mudflow Activity Obvserver” which was applied to a cell phone  equipped with vatious latest information concerning the transportation of the Lapindo mudflow.   The competition in India will be held in July, 2008.
