RI, China To Establish Task Force For Economic Relations

He said the task force would be made up of several departments in the two countries which focused on bilateral relations in the field of economy.
“The two countries will soon sign an agreement on the establishment of the task force to focus more attention on economic relations in the fields of trade, investment, and tourism,” Sudrajat said.
He signaled that the signing of the task force establishment would be made in conjunction with China-Indonesia Investment Forum organized by Indonesian Ministry of Industry in
Sudrajat said the task force was necessary because Indonesia and China have reach their target of trade and investment as a follow up of the strategic partnership which was signed by the two countries heads of state in Jakarta in 2005.

Asked about the China-Indonesia Investment Forum, the Indonesian envoy said a total of 150 Chinese businessmen from 90 companies in the country had confirmed that they would attend the forum to explore investment opportunity in Indonesia.
Sudrajat said the Indonesian government wanted to organize such a forum to net as many Chinese investors as possible to invest in Indonesia.
